Sometimes we forget the simplest things that we have learned.
Long ago in my Reiki training I learned how to charge a crystal with healing energy for someone in need. My cousin is undergoing a major health issue right now, so I sat down to do distance healing. I suddenly remembered that I could charge a crystal so that the healing energy would continue to flow even after I stopped sending the energy.
I charged up the crystal and set it in the window sill to send the healing to him for as long as it could. Each day I can recharge the crystal and ask it to continue sending. I wish that I could sit and send healing all day long, but reality means that I have to do other things, so the crystal healing is a really nice way to give a little extra energy to someone who needs it.
Read more about some strange Crystal Activity:
I remember many years ago, my brother was very ill and in his local hospital. I charged up some crystals to send healing to him. My brother lived north of me, so I put the crystals in a north facing window and pointed the tips of them northward.
Later when I came back to recharge the crystals they had moved and were now pointing westward. I later found out that my brother had been moved to a hospital to the west of me!!!

Back by popular demand!!
I will be teaching my intuition development classes every Monday evening in October from 7 to 9pm in my office building. (44 Cardigan St. Guelph)
The format will be slightly different from in the past. I will be teaching the classes in small batches this year, so you will have to pre-register and commit to a few classes at a time. The first batch will the the 4 Mondays in October and the cost for all 4 classes will be $75. Still a great deal and a fun way to develop you psychic side.
Check the calendar page for topics and updates.
See you in the fall!

I almost never watch TV, but I finished work and my children are out of town with their uncle for the day and I was just watching Dr. Oz. They talked about how relaxing for up to an hour per day dramatically reduces the risk of heart disease. When we are stressed our arteries contract and restrict blood flow. Reiki anyone? The main objective and benefit of a Reiki session is relaxation. Or better yet, learn Reiki for yourself so you can do it every day!
My next class is on Sept. 25th!

After a long hot day, take off your shoes and walk in the cool grass in your bare feet! Walk slowly and feel your feet sink into each layer. Great stress buster.

About a year ago I read the book, “In Praise of Slow”, by Carl Honore. How quickly (pun intended) we forget! It’s a great book about how we all should just slow down.
I often find myself rushing around trying to catch up or get everything on my to-do list crossed off. It is simply not worth it to rush around. My to-do list will only regrow itself as quickly as I shrink it, and in the process I stress myself out and don’t spend the time doing things I enjoy with the people that are important to me. In this world there is always something else to do if you look hard enough.
This morning I consciously decided not to rush through my errands and grocery shopping and to my surprise I ran into 2 old friends who I really enjoyed chatting over the grocery cart with.
On the way home I was sitting at the stop light waiting to cross our local expressway and witnessing all the cars zooming by. I often wonder to myself where all these people have to go in the middle of the day. I was really reminded about how we need to slow down. It seems so unnatural that we speed around at such rates. We are really just mammals after all. If you watch a mammal; like your dog or cat, you will notice that they spend most of their lives sleeping and lounging around. Of course they eat, exercise and socialize, but after that they just take a break.
I often find that my clients arrive for their appointments either just in the nick of time, or 5 minutes late, huffing and puffing and apologizing. (Actually I don’t mind if they are just in the nick of time because it gives me a few moments of quiet between clients.) The first thing I say to them is, “It’s Okay, 5 minute is really not going to mess up anyone’s day that much is it?” In the grand scheme of the universe, if you arrive a few minutes later than planned…the world will keep on spinning round.
