I do know that everyone has some kind of psychic ability. Some people are more connected to that ability and are able to call on it at will. Some, have feelings or messages that come and go, and have no control over when or where. Some, don’t acknowledge any psychic ability at all, but we do all have it somewhere inside, whether we know how to work with it or not.

If you really want to open up your psychic skills, check out my Psychic Development Course!

Why is it that some people are just born psychic and others have to work at it?

I am one of the in-between people. I do have many natural gifts that I was just born with, but I also have to work at it. If I don’t keep myself connected I become rusty.

Whether you are a natural, or a weekend warrior psychic being, there are things you can do to encourage your development.

First off…..Here is my short lecture on psychic ethics:

-Always ask permission before you try to read for anyone.

-Remain positive. Try to word things in a positive way. Remember, this is a helping field. You are not doing this to impress people or certainly not to scare them!

-Do not tell people how to live their lives. Let them make their own decisions. IF you run into someone with serious problems, refer them to a qualified medical or psychiatric professional. You are not qualified to help them, or to diagnose, or prescribe for them.

-Beware of people who are becoming dependent on you to solve their problems and back off. My rule of thumb is at least 3 to 6 months between readings.

Here is a brief list:

-MEDITATE (Notice the capital letters? This one is important!)

This does not have to be sitting in complete silence staring at your navel for 3 hours a day. Even if you spend just 10 minutes a day focusing in on slowing down your breathing, you will become more focused and calm. A calm mind is essential for psychic work. (And, you will experience many other health benefits!)

-Get Yourself a Practice Tool.

Psychic tools are things like: Tarot decks, Runes, crystals, pendulums, divining rods etc.

Start practicing with your tools on a daily basis. Experiment with different tools. Try a few different Tarot decks, or sets of runes, etc. You will find that some are easier for you to work with. Take your tools with you everywhere you go. You never know when you will have an opportunity to practice. Put them on your bedside table at night to connect as strongly as you can with them.

Note: stay away from Ouija boards, they are too powerful for beginners and they can open doors you may not want opened!

-Do Practice Predictions

Try predicting every day events, like what will come in the mail today. Try to visualize what is in the mail carrier’s bag. What colour are the envelopes? What bills will come today?

Who will phone today? Or, if you have a message, try to imagine what the caller wants. Then you can call back and see how accurate you are.

Try predicting the outcome of your favourite sporting events. Visualize the competitors and try to connect with their energy. Which one feels stronger?

-Practice on Friends, Family, Co-workers…

Find some open-minded people to work with. Tell them the first things that pop into your head no matter how silly they seem. TRUST is the one of the first and most important ingredients in developing your intuition. Once you get comfortable working with people you know, try working on complete strangers. When working with strangers, you know that the images, messages, or feelings that are coming to you are not coming from some pre-conceived idea you have about the person.

-Keep a journal

Write down what you feel, even if you think it is silly and you don’t know what it means. Make a practice of referring back to your writing. Look through your silly ramblings and see if there is anything that makes sense now that might not have made any sense at the time.

-Have Fun!

Play! Don’t worry about the things you get “wrong”, just celebrate the things you get right.
