Acupuncture is a safe and gentle way to help manage pain and side effects during cancer treatment.
Some people are hesitant to try acupuncture during cancer treatment. I have witnessed several loved-ones and patients of mine during cancer treatment and I understand that adding one more treatment or appointment to the mix can be overwhelming, but the pain relief and improvement in the quality of rest a patient can get from acupuncture might be something worth thinking about.
I am experienced in working with cancer patients and can adapt and work alongside whatever medical treatments the person is going through.
If the cancer patient is at risk due to low immune system, or is unable to make it out to an appointment, please don’t hesitate to ask me to arrange a home visit. It takes only a few moments to set up a sterile space for my treatment supplies. I need only a small table top, the corner of a dresser, or the seat of a chair that I can wipe clean. I am also fully vaccinated for Covid-19 and will wear a mask in your home.
I do not charge extra for home visits within Guelph. I also don’t care if your house is a mess, or if you are all in your pajamas, or if you have pets, or whatever else might be going on. I have worked in a variety of settings and I am pretty adaptable. My focus is on helping the patient to feel better.
